Kelsey Dexter
Kelsey is a physician and holistic wellness advocate who has been practicing yoga for over 20 years. Initially drawn to yoga for its physical benefits, she remained devoted to the practice for the mental clarity, stillness, and deep sense of connection it fosters. Through yoga, Kelsey has found profound peace and connection to herself, to others, and to the divine.
Over the years, she has studied a wide range of yoga styles with exceptional teachers. She completed a 200-hour teacher training with her friend and mentor, Sheryl Utal, in 2026 and is nearing completion of an additional 200-hour training with the Yoga School of Jackson. She also plans to pursue a 300-hour yoga therapy certification.
Kelsey is deeply passionate about foundational health and vitalism practices and enjoys educating others on the root causes of illness and pathways to vibrant, sustainable wellness.
Her vision for Golden Hour is to bring the many beautiful aspects of yoga to the Jackson community by creating a peaceful sanctuary open to all—one that serves as a center for wellness education, a gathering place for aligned seekers, and a space where the magic of deep connection can unfold.
Erin Russell
Erin discovered yoga 14 years ago while seeking relief from panic attacks and debilitating anxiety. Through breath and movement, yoga offered her a pathway back into her body and a renewed sense of safety and ease. What began as a search for relief evolved into a practice of self-regulation, resilience, and, ultimately, joy.
With a background as a child gymnast and lifelong runner, Erin was initially drawn to the physical elements of asana—the strength, rhythm, and sense of play. Yoga reawakened a childlike joy in movement rooted in curiosity. As her practice deepened, she noticed an increased sense of balance, empowerment, and connection both on and off the mat.
In 2015, Erin chose to deepen her practice by completing her 200-hour teacher training at Holy Cow Yoga in Charleston, South Carolina. After returning to her hometown of Jackson, Tennessee, she felt called to share yoga with her community. She completed an additional 200-hour certification through Small World Yoga in Nashville in 2024 and began teaching pop-up classes throughout the area while continuing her career as an elementary art educator.
After 17 years in the classroom, Erin took a leap of faith and co-founded Golden Hour Yoga and Wellness with Kelsey.
Erin’s foundation as an art educator deeply informs her approach to teaching yoga. She brings creativity, intentional sequencing, and encouragement of individual expression to every class. Her offerings are fun, welcoming, and thoughtfully curated—always accompanied by a great playlist. Erin is honored to share her passion and knowledge with the Jackson community while continuing to deepen her own spiritual practice.
